Palace of Justice, Amsterdam
The Architects idea of using a real natural look of Slate as roofing for a very modern building: the New Palace of Justice in Amsterdam – city centre.
The end result is a calibrated flagstone in our Anthracite Black slate with sizes up to 200 x 100 cm as roofing for the four buildings, just next to Central Station in Amsterdam.
The master plan of this new island in the centre of Amsterdam is from Dick van Gameren and Bjarne Mastenbroek. It is the new Palace of Justice in Amsterdam and hosts as well the water police, residential apartments and a hotel.
All roofs and vertical areas are clad with man-high flagstones in Anthracite-black slate from our quarry. The new Palace of Justice in Amsterdam is officially inaugurated by HRH King William-Alexander of the Netherlands in 2014. Moinho delivered all roof tiles in Slate for this new building.
